Intan Technologies partners with White Mountain Systems

Starting in February 2026, Intan Technologies is partnering with White Mountain Systems (WMS) to serve as the primary distributor of all Intan recording and stimulation systems worldwide. Intan will continue to sell RHD microchips and RHS microchips for engineering projects, but WMS will take over the responsibility of selling Intan’s range of scientific products: headstages, controllers, interface cables, and adapters.
Importantly, prices will remain the same for the foreseeable future.
Based in Moraga, California, White Mountain Systems was founded by Pujitha Weerakoon, an electrical engineer with an extensive background in electrophysiology instrumentation, microchip design, and medical device development. Reid Harrison, the founder of Intan Technologies, first met Dr. Weerakoon nearly 15 years ago and has maintained a close, collegial relationship with him for many years. Dr. Harrison and Dr. Weerakoon are working together to ensure a seamless transition.
Intan is deeply committed to preserving the quality and availability of its products for our customers in academia, medicine, and industry around the world. This partnership with WMS will maintain continuity of the Intan product line, allowing WMS to focus on the sales and distribution of Intan research systems while Intan focuses on sales of our core microchips.
Intan will continue to provide technical support, software development, and repair services for all our products. However, future orders of controllers, headstages, interface cables, and adapters will be fulfilled by WMS. Starting February 2026, all customers will need to contact WMS for quotes and orders of Intan systems (non-microchip products).

The products, services, and affordable prices you have come to expect from Intan will still be available, with WMS serving as the distribution arm of our scientific research products.
